India is a member of BRICS along with Russia, China, Brazil and South Africa. China, Brazil and India recently abstained on a UNSC vote condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Now India is planning to invest in an energy project that Putin recently nationalised that was being run by ExxonMobil.
