BAERBOCK : THE EU TO STRETCH FROM LISBON TO LUGANSK

Sounds like EU leaders expect Ukraine to take back east Ukraine from Russia, and when that happens Ukraine will join the EU. Unless NATO are just dangling a carrot in front of Zelensky with empty promises which will bleed Ukraine dry.

Or vice versa : Ukraine joins the EU then the EU formally fights Russia with a European army.
