SECDEF ESPER CANNOT PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF ALLEGED IMMINENT ATTACKS BY SOLEIMANI

Because of Trump's 'beliefs', 176 died in Iran. Several more in Baghdad. Trump put Iran's air defences on high alert, there was a report of an incoming missile fired by the USA, there was loss of communication so an Iranian officer shot the object down, somehow unable to verify the identity of the object.

"The president never said there was specific intelligence to four different embassies," Esper said on Sunday's edition of "State of the Union."

"He said he believed it," Tapper interjected.

"And I believe it too," Esper replied. "I believe there were threats to multiple embassies. That's why we reinforced embassies with additional troops."
