HOW BENJAMIN FRANKLIN CHANGED HIS MIND ON SLAVERY

In his early life Franklin owned a couple of slaves, and ran adverts for sales of slaves.

But by the Revolutionary War Franklin had come to not quite despise slavery but was much more opposed to it, and had started an 'experiment' in educating African slaves.

How did this happen? Where did this happen? When did this happen?
