Gaddafi thought he was safe and would be welcomed into the international community after giving up his WMDs.
In 2011 he was murdered in the 9/11 wars.
Before his murder Libya was the jewel of Africa. He said before he was murdered that if he was removed then Europe would be flooded with African immigrants entering via Libya.
Libya is now a shithole, and Europe has been flooded with African immigrants entering via Libya.
