WHO WOULD DO SUCH A THING?

So, the al-Askari shrine in Samarra has been blown up.

According to The Independent
National Security Adviser Mouwafak al-Rubaie said armed men wearing special forces uniforms broke inside the shrine and seized the guards, including policemen, responsible for protecting the site. The gunmen planted the explosives and fled.

In the last few weeks we have seen cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed published across Europe, resulting in riots and arson.

Then a video of British troops beating Iraqis senseless is published by The News of the World.

Then more photographs of abuse of Iraqis by US troops at Abu Ghraib are published.

The government in Basra withdraws its cooperation with the British Army.

I would have guessed that Iraq was ready to blow.

So, with excellent timing, somebody dressed as Iraqi Special Forces broke their way into the al-Askari shrine and blew it up.

I have warned that Iraq would be divided along religious lines. A civil war is required for the US/UK to maintain a presence in Iraq.

Well, you don't think the US/UK would spend billions and billions and billions of dollars to build a stronghold of freedom and democracy and walk away, while at home our freedom and democracy are being taken away?

Or am I being cycnical?

  1. No, you're not being cynical.

I also believe that these incidents are orchestrated.

  2. Hi Jon

yeah, I saw these. One thing that does not fit well with me about htese rumours is, why wait for so long before blowing the dome?

All that time hanging around, letting everyone know of your presence, and then wait until daylight before marching in wearing full uniform.

I still think it was the coalition what dunnit. al-Qaeda like suicide missions or roadside bombs. This was neither. It sounds like a professional job designed for civil war.
