16 OUT OF 30 AIN'T BAD

In an examination 16 out of 30 would be considered a pass.

But when 16 out of the 30 tax havens listed by the OECD that are woefully behind in their promises for more transparency are British, then I think we can all agree, we are proud to be British!

Seven tax havens/territories listed by the OECD which are official British territory are;
Anguilla
Bermuda
British Virgin Islands
Cayman Islands
Gibraltar
Montserrat
Turks and Caicos Islands

And nine of the tax havens listed by the OECD who have Queen Elizabeth II as Monarch and a Sir or Dame as Commissioner or Governor-General or some other title with imperial hangovers are;
Antigua and Barbuda
Bahamas
Belize
Cook Islands
Grenada
Niue
St Kitts and Nevis
St Lucia
St Vincent & Grenadines

Most of these havens made commitments to open up their books nearly TEN YEARS AGO!

If they had done so then we would probably not be in the mess we are in now.

So who is to blame?
