95 years ago today the Irish Republican Brotherhood began their rising. They executed a military operation to take over several important sites in Dublin and declared an Irish Republic. Fighting between the IRB and the British lasted a week, and ended in the execution of the ring leaders, except de Valera (who may well have turned for fear of execution).
The point is this; this rising was brutally put down by the British ruling class.
And yet we are now supporting flying unmanned drones over Libya and sending 'advisers' and our special forces to assist al Qaeda rebs to implement an illegal regime change in an illegal war!
