Remember Libya?
We just bombed and bombed and bombed and bombed and bombed and bombed it back to the stone age. The purpose was to save civilians, but oopsadaisy, we executed Gaddafi instead.
Since Gaddafi's very public execution there has been little media coverage of Libya. Yes, there was the obligatory victory salutes to Cameron and Sarkozy who flew there for the day in a blaze of glory and camera lights, and then got the hell outta there pretty sharpish. But media attention has moved swiftly on to the next victims of NATO's liberating love, Syria and Iran.
So what is happening in Libya today? Right now. This very second.
Besides the al Qaeda flags fluttering in the North African breeze, what is happening?
Apparently the Islamic terrorists are in charge, and the alleged new government is actually in virtual exile already seeking safety in Malta and Turkey!
I appreciate your posts. So strange to find a voice that understands what's really going on in the Middle East, and the Islamist torrent that's been swamping the area.
