BELLING CAT AND DUTCH MH17 INVESTIGATION TEAM ARE IN BIG TROUBLE

Perhaps in haste, Belling cat have made yet another massive, massive error, relying on the MH17 investigation which Dutch families have already called "completely botched".

Belling Cat have, for whatever reason, today suddenly decided to look into several aspects of the MH17 disaster, including Ukraine BUKs (at long last, what prompted you guys?) and the Russian radar data.

The bit that worries me is this.

By following a link or two you end up at this page:
Fact Checking the Russian Ministry of Defence's July 21st MH17 Press Briefing

At the bottom of that page you can find a link to a video on Youtube which is an overlay of the route of MH17 provided in the official investigation report published in September 2014. The route given is Figure 2. on page 12 of their report. The Youtube video is here.

The Russian MoD data (according to Belling Cat) is provided in that video overlayed.

You can see that the two paths are different: the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation team shows a straight line, while the Russian MoD data shows a left turn and then a right turn to put MH17 a few miles north of its original route but still travelling south east.

Belling Cat have jumped on this to prove that the Russian radar cannot be trusted. Here is what Higgins has stated on that apparent contradiction in routes:
The following composite shows the Dutch Safety Board data overlayed with the image produced by the Russian MoD, showing MH17 was flying from a different direction and didn't change course, counter to the Russian MoD's claims https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLKOpZycXnQ

Higgins has closed that aspect of the investigation with a big red cross.

But woooagh! Hold your horses, Higgins!

Here is what the Dutch, i.e. NATO, report says about the route in section 2.1 History of the Flight:
1. at 1300 hrs MH17 requested a change in route, 20 Nautical miles north of their path at that time;
2. Dnipro Control agreed;
3. MH17 then requested that they increase altitude to FL340, which Dnipro denied because that route was being used;
4. at 13:19:53 radar showed that MH17 was 3.6 Nautical miles of the centre of airway L980 "having deviated left of track".

Now what this means is that MH17 turned left to fly to a route 20 nautical miles north of its then route, and then once 20 nautical miles of their original route turned right to continue flying south east.

In other words:
1. the Russian radar data presented on this aspect is correct;
2. the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation is (possibly) wrong.

Now, by the time that the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation team published this report in September, the Russian MoD had released their radar data. So even though they have the transcripts between MH17 and ATC how can the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation team get it wrong? Why did they publish to the whole world a route which contradicts the transcripts which they actually publish in their report?

Questions are:
1. where exactly did MH17 begin its left turn?
2. where exactly did MH17 complete its right turn?
3. are these off the map published in the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation report?

If the answer to 3. above is no then the Dutch, i.e. NATO, investigation team is either up to something or sloppy/lazy.

Either way, the best solution is to take the investigation out of their hands and place it, as requested by Dutch families of victims of MH17, into the hands of a neutral international investigation team.

For justice, do this.

Don't let NATO (and the amateurs of Belling Cat) drive us into WW3.

ps Also note that the Russian radar data was released months BEFORE the Dutch report, and even though the Kiev Nazis had confiscated the communications between MH17 and ATC so didn't know what was on those tapes.
