WAS BORIS BEREZOVSKY SMUGGLING NUCLEAR MATERIAL?

Boris Berezovsky was one of those oligarchs who shafted Russia following the fall of the Berlin Wall and then fled Russia to escape the fury of the Russian people. Some fled to Israel, others fled to London. Berezovsky began to finance colour revolutions in former Soviet republics, and threatened a violent revolution in Russia to overthrow Putin. Berezovsky was that powerful that he was basically given one full BBC Question Time to rant about and against Putin.

Berezovsky was found dead in his house in 2013.

There were rumours that Berezovsky was involved in smuggling nuclear material.

In RUSSIA WAS FOLLOWING A NUCLEAR SMUGGLING RING IN LONDON IN 2006 BUT GREAT BRITAIN TOLD RUSSIA IT WAS ALL UNDER CONTROL I quote a cable in which it is claimed that Russia was following a nuclear smuggling ring in London but was told by Great Britain that it was all under control.

But during the search of Berezovsky's house after his death, this happened:
Mr Berezovsky was declared dead at the scene by a paramedic. On leaving the premises, the paramedic's personal electronic dosimeter (PED) was triggered. The device measures the air for potentially dangerous levels of radiation.

However, specialist officers who attended the scene subsequently found no trace of radiation of chemical agents and have said there is no health risk.

Why would a PED go off, indicating dangerous levels of radiation?
