I watched 12 Years a Slve again last night.
Alex Jones has stated live on air that his family were colonels and generals in the Confederate Army which fought to defend slavery.
Why did they feel that need?
Did they believe in slavery?
Were they slaveholders?
We don't know.
Because Jones will not tell us.
But nor, as far as I know, has he condemned The Confederacy, instead criticising Lincoln for freeing the slaves and pushing books and has guests on that do the same.
Neo-Confederacy is now pushing that they seceded because of a tariff (this is pushed by Thomas DiLorenzo who is 'Libertarian' and has work published on Infowhores), when all ordinances of secession clearly and explicitly state that the war was over slavery, which is supported by Alexander Stephens in his Cornerstone speech.
This fact that Jones has hijacked the 'resistance', with his family being colonels and generals in the Confederacy, and the Libertarian/JBS Koch's out to stop The Chump, should have us all very, very concerned.
