Nixon was told several days beforehand that there was going to be a coup against Salvador Allende in Chile, but Nixon let it happen. Kissinger was at the least partially behind the coup, but Hitchens makes a good case that Kissinger was fully behind it. The coup was allowed because Allende was nationalising a lot of corporations, some of them owned by US corporations who had interest in the copper resources of Chile. The result of the coup was the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.
Nixon destabilised Cambodia enough to drive many Cambodians seeking revenge against US bombing into the open arms of the Cambodia Communist Party run by Pol Pot. With much more support Pot was able to run a coup and later murdered a million Cambodians and hid the corpses in The Killing Fields. Pot received much support from China, who Nixon had recognised.
