WHY SHOULD IT BE ANY DIFFERENT NOW?

I would thoroughly recommend John Pilger's documentary The War on Democracy, which exposes 'Murica's meddling in Latin and Southern America. The first half hour so focuses on the 'revolution' in Venezuela in April 2002. Pilger also looked at this creature established by Ronald Reagan, The National Endowment for Democracy, which since its creation has been notorious for running colour revolutions, particularly in East Europe against former Soviet states.

It looks like Infowhores are getting excited by the unrest in Venezuela. Here is Kit Daniels:

Notice that Daniels laments the arrest of Leopoldo Lopez.

But who is Lopez?

Anti-government protests in Venezuela that seek regime change have been led by several individuals and organizations with close ties to the US government. Leopoldo Lopez and Maria Corina Machado- two of the public leaders behind the violent protests that started in February – have long histories as collaborators, grantees and agents of Washington. The National Endowment for Democracy “NED” and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) have channeled multi-million dollar funding to Lopez’s political parties Primero Justicia and Voluntad Popular, and Machado’s NGO Sumate and her electoral campaigns.

These Washington agencies have also filtered more than $14 million to opposition groups in Venezuela between 2013 and 2014, including funding for their political campaigns in 2013 and for the current anti-government protests in 2014. This continues the pattern of financing from the US government to anti-Chavez groups in Venezuela since 2001, when millions of dollars were given to organizations from so-called “civil society” to execute a coup d’etat against President Chavez in April 2002. After their failure days later, USAID opened an Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) in Caracas to, together with the NED, inject more than $100 million in efforts to undermine the Chavez government and reinforce the opposition during the following 8 years.

But Lopez was one spoke in that revolution.

A US State dept investigation found that the NED and the Pentagon were involved in the 2002 plot.

Also, in 2002 Senator Dodd requested an investigation of some of these issues frothe State Department. That investigation, carried out by the State Department's Office of the Inspector General, found that:
“...it is clear that NED, Department of Defense (DOD), and other U.S. assistance programs provided training, institution building, and other support to individuals and organizations understood to be actively involved in the brief ouster of the Chávez government...”

The USA instigated the revolution in Venezuela in 2002, and has since funded several people and political organisations for yet another revolution.

And in addition, Hillary Clinton's emails show she has been trying to instigate yet another revolution in Venezuela.

As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton led a team committed to delegitimizing the politics of the late Hugo Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution.

While Hillary Clinton publicly welcomed improved relations with Venezuela as secretary of state, she privately ridiculed the country and continued to support destabilization efforts, revealed her emails leaked by WikiLeaks.

In 2010, Clinton asked Arturo Valenzuela, then assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere Affairs, how “to rein in Chavez.” Valenzuela responded that, “We need to carefully consider the consequences of publicly confronting him but ought to look at opportunities for others in the region to help.”

So:
1. the NED, Pentagon and others ran the coup against Chavez in 2002;
2. the NED has since financed several politicians and political organisations to destabilise Venezuela for another attempt at revolution;
3. Clinton's emails show she was trying to instigate another revolution in Venezuela.

If all this was going on then, and has been going on since, why should it be any different now?
