CHINA MILITARY SPENDING TO INCREASE BY 7 PER CENT

China's military budget is estimated to be $150 billion per year, so 7% would mean an increase of about $10 billion.

Contrast that with the military budget of the USA, which is about $600 billion, and Trump has asked for an increase of $54 billion.

In other words, Trump's increase is one third of China's current military budget.
