OF ALLEGED DEATHS 'INVOLVING' COVID-19 IN MARCH ONLY 9% HAD NO UNDERLYING CONDITION

What do they mean by 'involving'?

Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales: March 2020

Todays ONS stats on Covid-19 are based on data on deaths in March. They show that of 3912 recorded deaths 'involving' Covid-19, only 9% of the deceased had no underlying condition.

The 4 most frequent underlying conditions over all age group and genders were:
1. Ischaemic heart diseases, 14%
2. Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, 14%
3. Chronic lower respiratory diseases, 13%
4. Influenza and pneumonia, 11%
5. No pre-existing conditions, 9%

Diabetes, hypertension and even 'old age' are frequent underlying conditions in other and old age groups.

It's almost as if Covid-19 itself only led to 9% of the deaths while the other 91% have been attributed to Covid-19 when there is a good chance that the deceased would have died sooner or later from their underlying condition(s).

In other words, reasons for death are being transferred to blame Covid-19.

Remember that plot from yesterday, that accumulated deaths upto April were not much higher than the 5 year average?
