Proper historian Dr Webster Tarpley explains the 2 major factions in the pre- and early history of the United States of America. Basically, Jefferson was a force of darkness (pro-slavery, anti-science) while Hamilton was a force of light. From my limited research (but which goes well beyond The Creature from Jekyll Island) I would generally agree with this. Not sure about calling Hamilton a leftist, but he has to kick off the argument somewhere.
