Well, he wasn't prosecuted for treason. Why?
Seems like the guy who led the military that almost overthrew the U S Government was allowed to live his life in peace, except for a few hunters of fame, and a few deluded Confederates who cried over the loss.
Makes you think : was it all a script?
My question is : why at Gettysburg did Lee order the Confederates to basically commit suicide and march uphiil, over open ground, for a mile, to eventually be decimated, destroyed, annihilated? Even provoking so much hatred and accusations from Longstreet and Pickett?
A lot more needs to be investigated of General Robert E Lee.
