NASA has a complex model that considers continental movement and many other variables, one of which is the sun, which in this model is actually considered to be a constant! Seems like continental drift and changes in oceanic circulation due to continental drift are considered to be the main drivers of climate over hundreds of millions of years. But as always, you know everything. So who are we to question. It's your world, and we're just living in it.
