WHEN TUCKER CARLSON CALLED THE GOVERNMENT OF HUGO CHAVEZ "A CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT"

Venezuela is in the news. In 2002 there was a coup against Chavez, in which he was kidnapped and ordered to resign. He didn't. In the build up to this failed coup Tucker Carlson, the awakened one, called the government of Chavez, " a criminal goverment".

Here is the most excellent documentary by John Pilger, The War on Democracy, on America's deadly interference in South and Latin America in a quest of American imperialism to steal natural resources, or at least capitalise on them through privatisation. Carlson makes his comment at 04:50.

But at 36:00 Pilger exposes that the CIA were told of the coup in advance, and the CIA did nothing to stop it.

And the NED financed the coup.
