TESTAMENT OF YOUTH AS A WEAPON OF DIVISION

I bought a DVD of Testament of Youth, by Vera Brittain, a few months ago, and was inspired by it.

But that was only a recent production of it.

The BBC produced a version in 1979.

Yes. A five episode version, which is much closer to the actual truth than the 2014 film.

In the fifth episode of the BBC production there is a conversation between Vera Brittain and her friend Winifred Holtby:
WH: You say he is a...mmm...Socialist. I thought you were...a sort of Liberal.

VB: Oh, Winifred, you know I've been moving further left all the time.

WH: And you say he's a Catholic?

'He' in this conversation is George Caitlin, who Brittain would marry and have two children with.

This conversation goes on for a little longer, but the aim of this conversation is to drag Vera out of her 'leftism'.

So what?

Well, one of the Gang of Four, Shirley Williams, who split from the Labour Party shortly after this production, and shortly after that bitch Thatcher won the 1979 GE, to form the Liberal Democrats, is the daughter of Vera Brittain!!

And not only that, Williams has attended Bilderberg...twice!!!

So has Williams been seduced by the dark side?

WTF is going on here?

What Williams did was help to split the opposition to the vicious, mindless monsters of the Tories.

Was this split inspired by this BBC 'testament' to her mother?
