With international complaints about war crimes mounting, and a vote on US involvement in Yemen having just been derailed by the Congressional leadership, another vote on Saudi weapons sales is likely forthcoming, following reports the Saudis have made deals for another $7 billion in US arms related to the war.

Northern Yemen is facing calamitous shortages related to the Saudi blockade, with many dying in recent weeks from the lack of medicine, thousands dying from a cholera epidemic that is among the worst in human history, and warnings that millions will soon be going from malnutrition to outright famine.
Despite having made a very public point of their plan to ease the blockade, at least as it relates to certain humanitarian ships, the Saudis have made no comment since then, and it’s puzzling why they announced it at all if they didn’t intend to allow the ships in.

A few weeks ago I began to look into the economic performance of modern Presidents of the USA, and it was clear that Democrats performed better on the economy in terms of jobs, growth and debt than the Republicans who generrally destroy the economy and expect the Democrats to repair the economy, which they generally did.
Trump's favourite modern POTUS is Reagan, who is famous for slashing taxes for the rich, building the US military, and tripling the national debt. The latest Republican tax plan stinks of this.
One of the better performing economies was that under JFK and LBJ. EIR identify the Kennedy Investment Tax Credit as the driver of the 1960's US economy, which involved tax breaks for investment for growth rather than just slashing taxes for the rich hoping and/or expecting the rich to re-invest in growth, which is what Reagan did.
I just listened to Tarpley's World Crisis Radio in which he mentioned this Kennedy tax credit. Tarpley also mentioned other tax incentives that used to be in the tax plan but no longer are, such as tax relief for adopting a child, or sending employees on educational courses. Tarpley's understanding of the Trump tax plan is that it is just a smple slashing of taxes for the rich.

ISRAEL FIRES GRENADES AT LEBANON ARMY INTEL UNIT
Why?
Israeli forces have fired smoke grenades at the Lebanese army intelligence soldiers, who were on their routine patrol in the country’s south, and injured them.
An unidentified security source told the Beirut-based Daily Star newspaper that the incident took place near the Lebanese village of Bilda on Saturday.
Several soldiers lost consciousness and were quickly taken to a hospital for medical attention, the report said.

And then there is the resignation of Hariri in Lebanon, citing concerns for his own safety due to alleged plots from Iran. Hariri resigned shorlty after a trip to Saudi Arabia where he met with bin Salman.

The Trump Organization has won the permission to hire 70 foreign workers to serve as maids, cooks and servers for the 2017-2018 tourist season, according to data from the U.S. Labor Department.
The Palm Beach Post reported Friday that Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., won the permission after first applying for the H-2B visas in July. The request was originally filed during Trump's "Made In America" week at the White House.
Palm Beach's unemployment rate currently sits at 3.6 percent. A local job placement agency told the Post that there are plenty of local workers who would be eager to fill the positions.
