Remember when David Icke pointed out that the EU started out as a trade pact, and then mocked the EU as "good for jobs" as he jumped to one side?
Icke campaigned loudly for Brex-shit.
And like Nigel Farage he has remained silent on the UK joining the CPTPP.
But now that the UK has formally joined the CPTPP, what can we in the UK expect?
Well, the UK government has decided to not opt out of the Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS), which New Zealand did. The ISDS allows corporations to sue governments if the corporations do not make enough profits.
So technically the corporations can sue the UK goverment for not assisting the corporations to make mega-profits. This means UK worker rights and labour laws are under threat.
Taking back control?
Pfft!
Icke (and Farage) doesn't give a shit!!
And remember : Icke got 2020 so so wrong.
See : Giving control away: why the new Pacific trade deal threatens our rights and laws
