As I understand it, The Friendship Pipeline explains the alliances that have formed over Syria.
Two possible routes to transport fossil fuel energy from the Pars Field to Europe:
1. Qatar-Saudi Arabia-Jordan-Syria-Turkey-Europe, and with a branch into Israel;
2. Iran-Iraq-Syria(-Lebanon?)-Europe.
Note that both routes traverse Syria.
Assad wants option 2. As does Putin because the nations involved in that pipeline would not threaten Russia's customer base in Europe.
But the USA wants option 1, as do Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey, to threaten Russia's customer base in Europe to weaken Russia.
So what do the USA, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey do?
Yep. Try to kick Assad out. And if not then partition Syria to allow option 1.
The pre-planned invasion of Syria from Jordan is all about the 2 gas pipelines the (((politicians))) must route towards EU. #firekushner pic.twitter.com/0lGXdBf1kj
