Below is a plot of the difference by week between deaths in 2020 and the 5 year average, i.e. for each week, total deaths in 2020 for that week - average of total deaths for the previous 5 years.
This is using data from the latest UK ONS spreadsheet.
The difference over the year is 69350.
Those deaths in 2020 were under lockdown, the 5 year average data is taken when there was no lockdown.
And that spike centred around week 16 is due to the murderous UK government sending Covid-infected aged into care homes where it was rampant and killed off a lot of aged already close to death anyway.
