COAL

We are sitting on hundreds of years of the best, cleanest coal in the world.

That bitch Thatcher shut down the mines, throwing hundreds of thousands of working men on to the scrap heap, destroying families and communities, so we now import most of our fuel.

So why not open up the mines, get digging that coal, produce loads and loads of jobs, and provide ourselves with cheap clean fuel and more energy independence?

Is that such a bonkers idea?

And in the meantime research fusion energy?
