According to Alex his ancestors were instrumental in the foundation of the extremely racist Republic of Texas in 1836. This was after they had worked for and with the Godfather of the Confederacy, Andrew Jackson, who was in fact a British agent. The Confederate States of America was a British project to dissolve the United States. The British spent decades dividing the United States over slavery, even sending over their top agent Giuseppe Mazzini, he of the Albert Pike three world war fame.

And when the U S Civil War kicked off Alex's ancestors fought at the rank of colonel and general in the Confederate Army to preserve slavery.
