As for Jackson?

Jackson was the Godfather of the Confederacy, because he started the mass expulsion of native Americans from their ancestral lands in states such as Georgia, with those ancestral lands sold to planters who built plantations worked by slaves. Once the south was dependent on slavery, the British sent in their top agent Giuseppe Mazzini to lobby in the north AGAINST slavery.

Thus the British divided the Uinted States: north v south, based on slavery.

So why was Jackson a British agent?

Jackson was surrounded by British agents, and protected supreme British agent Aaron Burr, who had assassinated Alexander Hamilton after Hamilton had exposed Burr's treason.

But Jackson was upto his neck in treason.

It was Jackson who destroyed the Second Bank of the United States which was financiing the United States into a major rival of Great Britain.

Hence why Great Britain tried to destroy the United States via the U S Civil War.

First destroy the central bank. Then send American v American over slavery.
