Would I be cynical to suggest that the 'intelligence' leading to the shooting of a young man was fabricated?
The 'intelligence' came from an alleged informant. A chemical bomb had been seen at an address. Over 200 cops raid the address at 4am. Doors were smashed down. Again an unarmed man is shot, and his mother collapses. No guns were found at the address. No explosives or bombs were found either.
But right now, London is in panic mode, for the alleged chemical bomb vest cannot be found!!
The words of the Morrissey/The Smiths song "Panic" come to mind.
Panic on the streets of London.
Panic on the streets of Birmingham.
I wonder to myself...
Now every one will be taking a second look at a Muslim, or even possibly any non-White, just to see if there is a hint of a bulge underneath their clothing. Is that just a little bit of a paunch, or could it be a chemical vest bomb?!
The compartmental structure of the security services can encourage the use of fabricated intelligence, for very few people will know, or have access to finding out, where that intelligence actually came from, if it came from an informant at all.
I am deeply skeptical of this operation, and believe it to be a publicity stunt to deflect from the limp-wristed criticisms from the ISC report into 7/7.
Of course, this may be just a trick to shmoke out the cynics so that when a bomb is later exploded in an attack on, as is suggested, a crowded bar screening a World Cup match, the cynics are humbled. Though I'm not sure they have the balls to do such a thing so soon after 7/7. They almost screwed that up, but just about got away with it.

So "The News of the World" is quoting 'Security sources' that Abdul Kahar was shot by his brother Abdul Koyair after a struggle with an armed officer.
I can't get my head around this. Over 200 officers, many of them armed, broke into a house at approximately 4am. Yet somehow oen of the brothers managed to get so close to an armed officer without any warnings from the officer, or any other officer, and somehow manage to force the officer to discharge one round which somehow managed to hit his brother!!
Why were so many officers involved in the raid? Initial reports suggested that a primed vest bomb was on the property. If this was indeed true, I think the armed officers would have been under orders to shoot if their superiors suspected that a primed bomb was on the property.
And during 'the struggle' what were the other officers doing? Were they just watching the fight like it was Mick McManus v Big Daddy on World of Sport?
And what are these 'Security sources' doing leaking the findings of an investigation by the IPCC before any report has been published?
I don't believe it.
From now on I suggest that armed officers where secret cameras and microphones during operations.
