I have been listening to Danny Baker on Saturday mornings for over a decade and have not once heard any hint of racism. And if he was racist then it would have been exposed well before last weekend.
His controversial tweet about Archie was very clumsy, but in my opinion not racist, though I can understand if some do think that it was. But over the last year I have noticed that his memory is very slowly starting to go, struggling to remember the name of an object, etc.
Maybe Danny should have been fined 2 weeks wages and asked to donate to an anti-racism charity instead?
But this morning felt like a British institution had been removed.
Hopefully he can recover from this.
