WHY NO RUSH TO EVACUATE BRITONS AND AMERICANS IN LEBANON?

It appears there is no rush to evacuate British or American citizens currently in Lebanon. Why?

You would think that British and American citizens were probably in most danger, as Great Britain and the USA are strongly supportive of Israel. So why no rush to evacuate them?

A couple of reasons, cynical ones, come to mind.
1. some are taken hostage and killed and Hizbullah is blamed (though it may or not have been Hizbullah).
2. some are shot during evacuation and the killing blamed on Hizbullah (though it may or not have been Hizbullah).

There is some dark motive to this reticence to evacuate. Any military action on British or American citizens would be a perfect excuse to blame and go after Hizbullah, and thus Iran and Syria, as set out in "A Clean Break" and in the 20th September 2001 PNAC to Bush.
