Shortly after 9/11 General Wesley Clark was told a plan for war and regime change in seven countries in five years. Those seven countries were Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan and Somalia.
Here he is revealing that plan:
There was a highly suspicious war on Iraq in 2003. We were told that Iraq was involved in 9/11, and had WMDs and we knew where they were. But neither of these claims was true. But target #1 was down.
In 2006 Israel contrived a war on Hezbollah in Lebanon, but lost. Target #2 had been attacked but was not removed.
Thus by 2007 this plan was moribund, and the NATO public was sick of war.
So to resurrect this plan it was agreed between the USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia that the latter would unleash the nastiest international cutthroat Jihadis onto Syria, Iran and Lebanon. To give these cutthroats cover as 'freedom fighters' the US State Dept engineered the Arab Spring, which gave NATO an excuse to provide political and military support.
But for whatever reason the Jihadis were first unleashed onto Libya, where they received ground support from the British SAS and air support from NATO. UN SCR 1973, which was supposed to provide a no fly zone to protect civilians, was abused and used by the aggressive NATO/Zionist/Gulf states to kill Colonel Gaddafi. Target #3 was down.
During 2011 the US State Dept Arab Spring erupted in Syria. After killing Gaddafi the Jihadis were smuggled into Syria, perhaps through one of the rat lines that former French foreign minister Roland Dumas was asked to organise by the British in 2009, TWO YEARS before the trouble in Syria.
After two years in Syria the Jihadis had not ousted or killed Assad. So in the summer of 2013 Prince Bandar of head-chopping Saudi Arabia threatened Putin with an ultimatum: either Putin dump Assad and Saudi Arabia would buy billions of dollars of weapons; otherwise Bandar would unleash hell in Syria to embarrass Putin into dumping Assad.
President Obama had earlier warned Assad that the use of chemical weapons was a red line.
So by 21st August 2013 we know that:
1. Bandar had threatened to unleash hell in Syria;
2. Obama had issued a red line over the use of chemical weapons.
But also on 21st August 2013 UN weapons inspectors were in Damascus to investigate a previous suspected use of chemical weapons.
So why would Assad risk the use of chemical weapons on such a massive scale?
Why, after over 2 years of resistance to the NATO/Zionist/Gulf aggression against Syria, would Assad decide, while UN weapons inspectors were just down the road, go and kill at least hundreds of his own people, thus providing those aggressive NATO/Zionist/Gulf states with the perfect casus belli to bomb the shit out of Syria, and also risk the provocation of a popular uprising against himself by his own people and army? Remember that most Syrians supported Assad and hated the Jihadis, while it was the Saudi-backed international cutthroat Jihadis who were the ones generally doing all the fighting and killing and dying.
If we go by motive then it is the aggressive NATO/Zionist/Gulf states who were responsible for the tragedy 2 years ago.
But to add to this we also have the rise of Islamic State.
Shortly after the tragedy 2 years ago the Jihadis were chased out of Northern Syria into Iraq. The Iraqi Army in that region was told to stand down, which allowed the Jihadis fleeing from Syria to seize weapons and bank accounts and create Islamic State. We now know that in 2012 the US DIA proposed a plan to facilitate the rise of a Salafist entity to isolate Assad. Now, doesn't Islamic State fit the bill?
It's all very convenient, too much of a coincidence:
1. Syria has been resisting for years the aggression of the NATO/Zionist/Gulf states;
2. Putin was threatened with hell on earth in Syria if he didn't dump Assad;
3. hell on earth was unleashed in Syria on 21st August 2013, provoking calls for war on Syria;
4. since then a US DIA plan proposed in 2012 has been implemented leading to the rise of Islamic State which the aggressive NATO/Zionist/Gulf states are now using as an excuse to openly interfere in Syria, and even threatening to attack SAA if the New Syrian Forces decide to not fight Islamic State but instead decide to fight Assad.
It all goes back to that plan revealed to General Wesley Clark shortly after 9/11.
Eliot Higgins and the Bellingcat crowd could help to stop all this war and death and murder and destruction by exposing this plan revealed to Clark.
But for some reason they won't.
I wonder what that reason is...
