PURLEAZE DON'T TELL ME WE WENT TO WAR ON THE WORDS OF A CABBIE!

I knew the 'intelligence' used to provide the excuse to invade Iraq was bullshit, but the report that the 45 minute WMD allegation came from a London cabbie who said he overheard two Iraqi generals in his cab on the Iraq-Jordan border a few years before the invasion is scraping the barrel.

But what is more worrying is that in subsequent intelligence reports a footnote advising that this particular piece of intelligence should be ignored was removed, and it was eventually used by our Prime Minister in the House of Commons on the eve of war as one of the prime pieces of evidence to invade Iraq.

They came up with all sorts of bullshit;
yellowcake, 9/11, harbouring al-Qaeda, but the major reason we invaded, because it was thought Saddam was a threat to British interests in Cyprus, was this WMD ready for launch in 45 minutes allegation.

Heads should roll for this. I don't care where they are or what they are current ly doing. Our soldiers have died over there in the heat and the sand and the dust, and all for what? So that the likes of Bilderberg could their murdering greedy hands on Iraq's oil.

Put them on trial for murder along with the Bilderberg bankers who are pushing the Liverpool Care Pathway and its equivalent in the USA to pay for their bailouts, and then lock 'em up with Josef Fritzl for ever.

Revelations: Adam Holloway said senior officials told him a cabbie claimed Saddam had long-range missiles

Gossip from an Iraqi taxi driver was a key source for Tony Blair's 'dodgy dossier'.

A report by a respected MP claims that the unlikely secret agent was one of MI6's top sources when it was building a case to justify the invasion.

He provided the information that Saddam Hussein could fire chemical weapons at British targets within 45 minutes.

The revelation comes as the death toll of British troops in Afghanistan reaches 100 this year alone following the shooting of a member of 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment in a gun battle with the Taliban.

Senior intelligence officials have told the MP that the cabbie falsely claimed Saddam Hussein had acquired long-range missiles after listening to Iraqi commanders chatting in his taxi two years before the invasion.

The driver, who worked near Iraq's border with Jordan, was allegedly the 'sub-source' of a senior Iraqi military officer who told MI6 that Saddam had battlefield chemical weapons ready to deploy at 45 minutes' notice.

The revelations come in a report on the Iraq War by Tory MP Adam Holloway, due to be published by the think-tank First Defence.
