THE FUNERAL OF LEE RIGBY

Yesterday the funeral of Drummer Lee Rigby was held in Manchester. Thousands lined the streets. He is now buried at Middleton Cemetery.

Or, as some sick souls would have us believe, perhaps not.

Perhaps, as some sick souls would have us believe, Rigby is not dead.

Perhaps, as some sick souls would have us believe, Rigby was an actor who has played the cruelest hoax on this Disunited Fascist Queendom by pretending to have been brutally attacked, subsequently dying from his make-up 'wounds'.

Perhaps, as some sick souls would have us believe, Rigby even had a giggle with his fellow actor Michael Adebalajo as he lay there in a pool of tomato ketchup as Adebalajo pretended to cut his head off.

Perhaps, as some sick souls would have us believe, Adebalajo then erased road signs, hammered out bumps in road signs and then even had time to get a bucket of hot soapy water and brush to wash away the blood tomato ketchup, and then finally charged at his fellow actors dressed as policemen who then shot at him with blanks and then whisked him away to a hospital where he lay for weeks tended by actors and actresses dressed as nurses and doctors recovering from his bad acting.

And perhaps, as some sick souls would have us believe, Rigby's parents are also in on the cruelest hoax being played against this Disunited Fascist Queendom.

Or maybe, just maybe, it really really really did happen as has been reported, that an angry Adebalajo, harassed to the edge of reason by MI5 (why did they not arrest him for inciting violence weeks before?), flipped and attacked a soldier with a knife on the streets of London and then charged at armed Police who shot him with live ammunition? Eh? Just maybe? Huh?

What was suggested by some very dodgy websites and people was that the attack on Rigby was all a hoax. The sad fact is that this bad energy was used to deflect attention from:
1. covering what Adebalajo said were his motives, i.e. drone strikes, harassment
2. that Adebalajo was being watched and harassed by MI5 while he preached Jihad on the streets of Woolwich, calling for Muslims to go to Syria to join the Jihad against Assad.

This almost led some very important people into falling for the hoax at a crucial time. But thankfully it did not.

RIP Drummer Lee Rigby. May your death not be taken up to be used by racists to provoke a race war or be taken up by dodgy websites to be pushed as a hoax to destroy the credibility of others.

The prime minister and thousands of mourners have attended the military funeral of Fusilier Lee Rigby at Bury Parish Church in Greater Manchester.

The 25-year-old soldier, from Middleton, was killed in Woolwich, south-east London, in May.

His commanding officer Lt Col Jim Taylor said in a eulogy Lee had been "a true regimental character".

After the service his body was driven along roads lined by mourners for a private burial at Middleton Cemetery.
'Good people'

The soldier's family were greeted by applause as they arrived with his son wearing a T-shirt showing the words 'My Daddy My Hero'.

They have thanked people "across the world" for their "overwhelming support".

Fusilier Rigby's wife Rebecca said: "There are so many kind and generous people out there.

"It's just horrible that it takes something such as this to make you see how many good people there are."
