PATRICK COCKBURN GETS IT DEAD WRONG AGAIN

Why is Patrick Cockburn allowed to write such bollocks in such a mainstream media?
Reaction to Russia’s military intervention in Syria shows that the lack of knowledge of the Syrian political landscape on the part of Western political leaders and media is hindering the adoption of more constructive policies. During the past four years, over-simplifications and wishful thinking have prevented any realistic attempt to end the civil war, mitigate its effects or stop it from spreading to other countries.

Since 2011 the departure from power of President Bashar al-Assad has been prescribed as a quick way to bring an end to the conflict, although there is no reason to believe this. There are no quick or easy solutions: Syria is being torn apart by a genuine, multi-layered civil war with a multitude of self-interested players inside and outside the country.

I have highlighted the bollocks.

I am very, very wary of Cockburn. Not just because he writes for a mainstream newspaper (and is thus under some editorial control), but he married into the Montefiore family!!

You know who Moses Montefiore was? He and Nathan Rothschild were not only close friends and family through marriage, but also some of the richest bankers in the UK and used their vast wealth to try to buy Palestine for the Jews.

This could explain why Cockburn barely criticises Israel or blames them for anything.

Take Syria, for example, in this latest load of bollocks from Cockburn. Who does he quote for an explanation of this so-called 'civil war' in Syria? None other than the Vice President of the United States of America, Joe Biden:
President Joe Biden gave a succinct account of what the administration really thought about what was happening in Syria. He said that Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE “were so determined to take down Assad and essentially have a proxy Sunni-Shia war”. They financed and armed anybody who would fight against Assad, “except that the people who were being supplied were al-Nusra and al-Qaeda and the extremist elements coming from other parts of the world”.

Has Cockburn read The Redirection by Seymour Hersh in the 5th March 2007 edition of The New Yorker magazine in which Hersh states that the USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia had agreed to unleash the nastiest Jihadis onto Syria, Lebanon and Iran?

Hersh does not link this to 9/11 but the timeline is clear:
1. 9/11 was at the least allowed to happen, when powerful Zionists were in charge of the AWOL US military, and Saudi Arabia had supplied the patsies (so we have here a USA/Zionist/Saudi alliance);
2. a plan for war and regime change in seven countries in five years was then hatched, with the core of those countries being enemies of Israel;
3. but by 2007 this plan was kaput;
4. so the USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia agreed that the latter would unleash the nastiest international cutthroat Jihadis onto Syria, Lebanon and Iran;
5. to give these Jihadis cover as 'freedom fighters' the USA sponsored and engineered The Arab Spring;
6. the Jihadis were first unleashed onto Libya, where UN SCR 1973 was totally abused by NATO to kill Gaddafi;
7. and since 2011 the Jihadis have been in Syria, financed by Saudi Arabia, and receiving weapons and political and logistics support from the USA, Israel, Turkey, Qatar, France and the UK.

Now, why doesn't Cockburn mention Israel in his analyses?

Cockburn concludes with this very naive, to say the least, paragraph:

But any solution or diminution of violence can only come if there is a realistic understanding by Western and regional powers of the destructive forces at work.

He just doesn't seem to get that it is the Western and regional powers who started the bloody war in Syria in the first place?!

Or maybe he does but, for whatever reason, doesn't say it?...

To Cockburn the war in Syria is a genuine civil war. The fact is it is not. The war in Syria was planned by Zionists in 1991, developed in 1996 through A Clean Break, and then developed further in Rebuilding America's Defenses by PNAC. The UK was planning for it by 2009 at the latest.

This is why Patrick Montefiore Cockburn can write his bollocks in the mainstream The Independent.
