SOMETHING I CAN AGREE ON WITH PJW
That's why tonight I am again digesting, as opposed to watching, the 1979 broadcast of Testament of Youth by Vera Brittain. My celebration of Christmas and New Year ended years ago when I realised the dire situation we are all in and could not stand to see everyone hugging and kissing and cheering the end of one year of war and poverty and homelessness and tyranny to be replaced by another year of exactly the same.
