PETITION URGING DONALD TRUMP AND THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES TO WITHDRAW FROM THE UNITED NATIONS
Whereas, the United Nations recently passed a resolution labeling the state of Israel an occupying power which is in “flagrant violation of international law” for constructing Jewish settlements on its own land;
Whereas, this United Nations resolution flatly denies the Holy City of Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, demands East Jerusalem be ceded to the “Palestinian” people, and endangers the right of the Jewish people to live peacefully in their own national territory;
Whereas, the United Nations has repeatedly provided aid and comfort to anti-Jewish terrorist organizations, including the Palestinian Liberation Organization and Hamas, and whereas the UN’s designation of Israel as an “occupier” serves as a justification for continued terrorist campaigns against the Jewish people;
Whereas, the United Nations General Assembly has held “Zionism is racism” since 1975, and in so doing has called into question Israel’s right to exist and legitimized what is in effect a campaign of genocide against the Jewish people in their ancient homeland;
Whereas, the United Nations General Assembly declared Israel “is not a peace-loving member state” in 1982, has threatened to expel Israel from the organization, and called on “all states to put an end to the flow to Israel of human resources,” effectively endorsing the efforts of Communist states at the time to bar Jewish emigration to their ancient homeland;
Whereas, the United States has provided the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with $4.5 billion in aid to “promote democracy,” even though neither the Palestinian Liberation Organization nor Hamas can be called democratic regimes and the Palestinians have continued to push for UN sanctions against Israel instead of pursuing peace;
Whereas, the consistent and obsessive condemnations of the Jewish state, the only democracy in the Middle East and a country where both Jews and non-Jews enjoy human rights and political representation, contrasts shamefully with the UN’s indulgence of murderous, discriminatory and tyrannical practices of Muslim regimes in the Middle East and Africa;
Whereas, both Republicans and Democrats in the United States, including Republican President-elect Donald J. Trump and Democratic senators Chuck Schumer, Joe Manchin, Bob Casey, Richard Blumenthal, Mark Warner and Chris Coons, have all expressed outrage at the UN’s latest anti-Semitic attack against the Jewish state;
Whereas, one-sided United Nations resolutions which condemn Israel as an illegitimate, occupying power threaten to undermine the already struggling peace process and start a disastrous regional war;
Whereas, President-elect Donald J. Trump has stated, “Peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians will only come through direct negotiations through the parties and not through the imposition of terms by the United Nations” and the new resolution “puts Israel in a very poor negotiating position and is extremely unfair to all Israelis”;
Whereas, President Obama himself stated at the United Nations in 2011 that peace will ultimately come not through UN resolutions but through direct negotiations between the parties;
Whereas, any peace process must ultimately begin with recognition of the Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state and the United Nations has been undermining that consensus for decades;
Whereas, the United Nations has adopted twice as many resolutions singling out Israel for condemnation that it has against all other nations combined;
Whereas, the United Nations Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has continued to demand Europeans welcome African and Middle Eastern Muslim “refugees,” despite the overt declarations by terrorist groups that they have infiltrated the ranks of these migrants, despite a serious of bloody terrorist attacks which have plunged the Continent into fear, and despite the reality many of these supposed “refugees” are young men who are not refugees at all but simply economic migrants;
Whereas, President-elect Donald J. Trump has dismissed the United Nations simply as a “club for people to get together, talk and have a good time”;
Whereas, American senators including Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz have already called for cessation in funding for the United Nations until that organization becomes more responsible;
Whereas, the United States contributed more than $3 billion to the United Nations in 2015, 22 percent of the organization’s total budget and more than 185 other countries combined;
Whereas, the United Nations Human Rights Council consists of tyrannical governments such as those of Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, and Communist China, all of which violate the fundamental human rights they are supposed to defend;
Whereas, the United Nations has deliberately sought to undermine American sovereignty and independence through global initiatives such as the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and “New Urban Agenda,” which call for unlimited immigration into Western nations;
Whereas, the United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution 16/18 calls for “measures to criminalize incitement to imminent violence based on religion on belief,” a justification for banning criticism of Islam or the Islamic prophet Muhammad because Muslims are likely to respond to speech with violence, and such a resolution is a direct attack on Americans’ First Amendment rights;
Whereas, that although the United States is largely responsible for funding the United Nations, United Nations “human rights experts” have condemned American police as compromised by racism, using fake news such as the Michael Brown case in Ferguson as justification;
Whereas, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) has called for national recordkeeping requirements and sharing of these records among governments, and the subordination of Americans’ Second Amendment rights to “international norms”;
Whereas, the United Nations’s “Convention on the Rights of the Child” removes parents’ control over their own children and would create a universal and autonomous legal standing for children 0-18 years of age, essentially ending the sovereignty of the family;
Whereas, the United Nations has a long history of using “non-binding” resolutions as a testing ground before introducing legally binding treaties on member nations and the organization has shown a decades long determination to strip Americans of their sovereignty, autonomy and constitutional rights;
Whereas, the United Nations is a clear and present danger to the sovereignty and survival of the United States of America and its close ally, the Jewish state of Israel, despite being all but entirely dependent on American aid;

Therefore, we hereby add our names to this petition calling on President-elect Donald J. Trump and the Republican Congress to withdraw the United States from the United Nations, cease all payments to that organization, and expel it from American soil. Furthermore, we likewise encourage President-elect Trump, once he assumes office, to declare his support for the Jewish state of Israel, its indivisible and eternal capital of Jerusalem, and a peace process executed through direct negotiations between Israel and its neighbors, rather than resolutions put through the anti-Semitic United Nations. We further urge President-elect Donald J. Trump and the Republican Congress to declare all United Nations resolutions, treaties and other explicit and implicit commitments to be no longer binding on the United States and violations of American sovereignty. Finally, we urge President-elect Donald J. Trump and the Republican Congress to use all available means to encourage allies of the United States and Israel to withdraw from the United Nations and withhold all funding and official recognition from that organization.
It is outrageous an organization hosted on American soil, protected by American arms, funded by American tax dollars and built upon a global order sustained by the United States seemingly spends all its time attacking America and its ally Israel. It an insult to global decency that Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, is continuously targeted with the most outrageous slander and vitriolic attack as the United Nations allows some of the worst tyrannies on the planet to sit in judgment. Finally, as an independent Republic, the United States of America has a responsibility to itself and to the world to cease subsidizing an institution which has not only proven hostile to the sovereignty of the United States and the security of Israel, but which has also shown itself to be a breeding ground of anti-Semitism and support for Islamic extremism. The United States should stand with its allies and in defense of its own principles rather than continuing to pay the bills of an organization which has all but openly declared itself an enemy both of our Republic and the besieged Jewish State.
