A BRIEF HISTORY OF WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN THE PACIFIC

Towards the end of WW2 in the first half of 1945, the USA refused the Japanese offers of surrender. In August 1945 the USA dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, and then accepts Japanese surrender on essentially the same terms Japan offered earlier that year.

The USA then began to test its weapons of mass destruction in the Pacific, particularly in the Marshall Islands, where the indigenous islanders were used as laboratory animals for experiments on human uptake of radiation. Subsequent generations were born with horrific defects, and now live in squalor and work as cheap labour servicing the US Ronald Reagan Missile Test Site where US military personnel live a life of luxury.

The UK and France joined the USA in testing their weapons of mass destruction in the Pacific.

All tests were above ground and polluted the beautiful atolls of the Pacific with dangerous radiation.
