When it's all dried up, and the flotsam and rubbish has all been cleared away, and the thanks and the cheers have drifted off with the winds over the horizon, South Texas will basically go back to what it was. A few friendships may last, and a few communities may come together a little bit, for a year or so, maybe, but that's about it.
It happens everywhere after every tragedy. The system recovers and the faux friendships evaporate leaving man as the basic animal living in a basic animal system.
Because that's what America is: a system of predators and profiteers and get-rich-quick merchants.
Just ask Alex Jones about his unscrupulous business practices!
