Italy and Spain do not have WHO-recognised Covid-19 testing centres.
If a country does not have a WHO-recognised Covid-19 testing centre then it is supposed to send test samples to one of the WHO-recognised Covid-19 testing centres.
There are 16 of these around the world. And each uses a different test.
UK is Public Health England, test method not provided.
USA has 1 cetre at CDC, Atlanta which uses three targets in N gene.
China has 1 in Beijing (but actual centre not listed) which uses ORF1ab and N.
