THOUGHT FOR THE WEEKEND

Was William Hague's surprise resignation as Foreign Secretary made because he knew or suspected what was being done regarding David Haines and Alan Henning?

Hague was Foreign Secretary when Moazzam Begg made his sensible and achievable proposals to negotiate the release of Haines and Henning, proposals which were outrageously rejected by someone in the FCO.

But who?

And why?

And when?
