Or to be more precise, Trump and everybody else's oil.
But Trump is wrong on ISIS, which was allowed to grow because Assad was kicking their arse out of Syria so a DIA plan from 2012 was implemented which facilitated the rise of a Salafist entity to isolate Assad. Nothing to do with oil. Everything to do with that plan revealed to General Wesley Clark for war and regime change in seven countries in five years.
President Trump on Thursday doubled down on his comments the U.S. should have taken oil from the Middle East during its wars there.
...The commander in chief last raised the idea during a speech at the Central Intelligence Agency one day after his inauguration.
“If we kept the oil, you probably wouldn’t have ISIS, because that’s where they made their money in the first place, so we should have kept the oil,” Trump said. “But, okay, maybe we’ll have another chance.”
