I remember watching this in 2003, about King George V's son John.
In episode 1 (starting at 12:50) there is a scene in which King Edward VII and Prince George ask John and his brother George about what they have been playing with toy soldiers. George claims they've been playing with inter-planetary armies. But John then blurts out they've been playing with foreigners. At which point Prince George goes bonkers, but King Edward VII suggests, "Let's help them".
