Note that Heathrow, which is planned to remain open while all other airports in the south close, is in no such financial trouble.
The airlines decide where to fly to and from. Who is producing their schedules? And how? Are the airlines prefering to use Heathrow instead of Gatwick? If so, why?
Remember : Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast are the only airports planned to remain open in the UK by 2030. Gatwick is the main rival of Heathrow.
Also note that PCR tests, even though academics claim should only cost £20, have only been reduced by that amount from £80 to £60. There needs to be a serious investigation into these PCR test companies: are they connected? Do they serve one airport? Is there any connection between those who charge the earth but deliver a shit service?
