Last week members of The Marsten House were tricked into voting for war on Islamic State in Iraq. This motion was proposed by Callous Cameron, who had allowed David Haines to have his head sawn off to provide a casus belli. Haines was implicitly referred to in the text of the motion.
But Islamic State is being portrayed as a threat to the world. Even members of the Marsten House last Friday stated this time and time again.
But here is what BBC Radio 4 is reporting this morning:
1. a fierce battle between Islamic State and Iraqi forces is taking place just 5 miles outside of Baghdad;
2. RAF Tornadoes, loaded with bombs, were flying on 'reconnaissance' missions at the time but for whatever reason were not ordered to fly over that battle and drop their bombs on IS.
Make of that what you will.
