Two weeks ago I was astonished to hear BBC presenter Justin Webb incite revolution against Vladimir Putin. Last week he did something similar by suggesting that Russia had to be brought into line. And this morning not one but two anti-Putin commentators were asked for their opinion on Putin. Both blamed Putin for the current crisis.
Yeah. Putin lowered the oil price all on his own.
And yeah. Putin attacked the Rouble all on his own.
I didn't catch the bloke's name, but although his name sounded Russian and he was a 'journalist' in Moscow he had an American accent. And the second commentator was Anne Applebaum, straight out of the Neocon think tanks and wife of Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski.
What is it with these influential wives and their names? Are they trying to hide something? Victoria Nuland is married to Robert Kagan. Anne Applebaum is married to Radosław Sikorski.
