The Kouachis were identified by an ID card that was conveniently left in one of the cars they hijacked and then abandoned.
But before doing this they had professionally and ruthlessly executed 10 members of the Charlie Hebdo office...and also even two police officers!
So how can such highly-trained focused assassins leave an ID card lying around?
The obvious answer is that they wanted to be known. But if so then why not phone all the major TV and radio stations and admit their crimes and their reasons for committing their crimes? They would have got far more exposure for their cause that way.
But they didn't.
They conveniently left an ID card lying around.
Initial reports on Wednesday were that there three gunmen in a team on the loose. The Kouachis were named, due to this ID card. But the third member of that team was named as Hamyd Mourad. But Mourad is an 18 year college student who was in college at the time, handed himself in, and has now been released without charge.
So:
1. how did the French police come to name Mourad?
2. who was the third man?
3. is he the one leaving ID cards around to set up the Kouachis?
Why didn't the Kouachis contact media until just hours before their deaths?
