Biff's great great grandfather was W Harris Pope (1813 - 1872), his great grandfather was Nathaniel Pope (1846 - 1922), and his grandfather was William Forrest Pope. They lived in Mississippi.

So the Forrest was only used AFTER the US Civil War...when the Popes lived in Mississippi.

This would help to explain why Jones is neo-Confederate and tries to whitewash the Confederacy by blaming the US Civil War on a tariff when all primary documents state that the war was about the Confederate states retaining the right to keep, beat and rape their slaves.
