LET'S HAVE A STOCKTAKE

I was a stock controller for a while. We'd have two stocktakes a year: you check your physical stock against the stock on warehouse system. They rarely correspond, particularly in larger warehouses. Some reasons for this are: tuff is broken and not recorded; stuff is stolen; movements and returns are not recorded correctly.

But I've suggested this before: let's have a stocktake of BUKs in the Ukraine and Russian arsenals.

If one has a BUK missing then we'll have a better idea, wouldn't we?

It amazes me how Ukraine has not offered this for if they were innocent then all their BUKs would be intact.

Russia might have one missing, but it might be the one that shot down an Antonov An-26 on 14th July 2014.
