It's about automation: how robots are replacing humans, the speed with which this is occuring, and the very worrying fact that nobody seems to know and understand the effects and how to deal with them.
But I say they know exactly what they're doing. An obvious career choice would now be in robotics: design, construction and maintenance, and all the software that is needed. But you don't need one human for one robot. One robot engineer could cover 20 or 30 robots, may be more.
